It would appear that it is normal practise not to get back to people, whether it be a service provider promising to get back to you, or a colleague. My friend Tim, who I hadn't seen for twenty years and unknown to me had followed a career in photography is correct. He suggested that a collective name for photographers should be "a moan of photographers"...hahaha, in which case I will stop now.

I have cracked on with "The Collectors" and went to Banquet Records in Kingston upon Thames to drop in a flyer...

I also wanted to introduce myself and see if I could make portraits of the guys in the shop. After all this project is about record collectors, this has to include the suppliers of the records. The guys at Banquet Records were all cool with this, and so this morning I popped in and made these...

There are a few more portraits in this project already lined up but I need lots more. If you are a record collector or know any then get in touch or tell them to come my way and get involved. They will get a portrait for themselves, not to mention being part of this excellent project.
SPREAD THE WORD!!

Another week has whizzed past, and thankfully Camille will be home this weekend. This means I do have the mammoth task of tidying by studio set away and cleaning the house from top to bottom.

I'll have to keep this super brief as the sky looks interesting and I may be a good opportunity to get back to Richmond park to see what I can make. It is still a bit chilly though. Thank fully not as cold as it was when I went off to my old stomping ground of Woodstock to make the first portrait in a new project. The project is about record enthusiasts and is entitled "The Collectors". I have a couple more lined up but really want as many as I can get. If you are a record collector or know any please get in touch or send them my way.

Here is Nicky 3DEE...

It has made me feel really good setting out to make these portraits, hopefully I can get enough together by June when I have a little space lined up to show them.

As ever don't forget to spread the word about my work, send people to my site www.duncan-photo.com and if you need a photographer you know where I am so don't be shy...

Having spent sometime shooting architecture in the week I decided to get on with my other super passion, food.
I really enjoy the technical challenges of both architecture and food, but I am always very happy on a flat overcast day to be in my studio, hunkered down and concentrating on lighting food to make it look delicious. I hope these get your mouth watering and tummies rumbling....

Spread the word everyone, if you know anybody in the food industry who needs a good photographer make sure you send them my way.......

I promised to put up some fresh shots of things I have been making, I am flat out though drumming up work. Always need more so don't be shy to contact me and let me know what you need photographing, I am sure I can put a package together to suit your needs.

For now though enjoy these architectural marvels and also some of my pieces which were commissioned to hang in the offices of Eximus Group based on Fenchurch Street. All the prints in the commission are available to buy on a limited print run of 50 so hurry up if you want one.

And now for some sexy Architecture....

Don't forget to spread the word and if you need a good no bs photographer get in touch...

It seems like my feet have barely touched the ground over the last week what with the new look website going up, setting up large prints for a corporate client and hanging a show locally in Kingston. Finally I have a chance to sit down, reflect on events and concentrate on what is next.

If you haven't had a look already check out the new and vastly improved website www.duncan-photo.com. Having looked at that and you get a thought that someone you know could use me to photograph their food, designs, products or faces then ping the link to them, happy days.

If you are in Kingston, having a day in Richmond park or are nearby and fancy a sandwich then pop into the Park Cafe on Park Road. You can enjoy a coffee and also a collection of my work shot whilst in Yangon last year. I am currently putting a project together to go back and make a larger project on the country.

For now though here is what I have been shooting when I had a minute to get my camera out, enjoy...

I hope that will keep you ticking over until I next get a breather. I realise that these lovely photographs will have made you forget so here is the reminder, tell everyone you know if they need a photographer Duncan Longden is the guy for the job.......

Ups and Downs!
Had a great meeting and then things went quiet but as ever a bit of patience seems to be paying off. On Monday I set up my studio and spent a long day making food shots, these are now lined up and ready to launch with my new look site.
I received a call for a shoot which happened on Tuesday during an event at London Olympia. It was interesting and a good test of my skills to make something from a not ideal situation. All worked out well though and the advert and brochures should be sent to press soon.
Wednesday brought a meeting with my super talented web designer Beech and a revelation regarding traffic to my site. This has brought a major re-design which hopefully will result in more viewings and, fingers crossed work.
Stop talking and show us some work I hear you cry, well ok then. Here are a few street shots, I totally love my Fuji X100. Enjoy these....

The last 2 were shot at Tate Modern after a very enjoyable and educational viewing of the Surrealist's show, if you haven't seen it and have a chance I recommend you get yourself down there and enjoy some culture.

Remember to spread the word, and hit the follow button.

The food shoot last week was amazing, a busy day but excellent. Chef Alex really worked hard putting together all the dishes. His house mate Paul stepped up to the challenge of Stylist/Art Director and I shot what I think looks good....

I have also been busy building my interiors portfolio and had a very interesting meeting mid week, hopefully the results of which will give me a great project to get my teeth into....

Off to spend a bit of time with an old friend around Oxfordshire tomorrow and looking forward to the week ahead and what it brings....
